There is nothing quite like classical music to relax your mind and soothe an overstressed soul. Throughout history, there have been some remarkable composers that have brought us music that is still played by orchestras or performed at opera houses today.
The classics get retold and re-invented through time, with each era bringing forth new talent.
Two of the Best Composers of All Time
Most people have heard of at least one great composer or may have even heard some of their work or ventured to an opera. Here are 2 of our all-time top composers:
Giuseppe Verdi
Guiseppe Verdi one of the greatest Italian composers producing twenty-eight operas in his lifetime. His works are still showcased today with one of the most famous being: “Messa di Requiem per Alessandro Manzoni”.
An opera which pays tribute to his devout Catholic ways and has some of the most furious and loudest un-amplified music ever written in it. The most famous part of the opera is the “Dies Irae” section which depicts God’s wrath on man as he brings about Armageddon.
Johannes Brahms
Johannes Brahms is considered to be a “superb fugue composer” who strictly adhered to form and never wrote retrogressions. In his lifetime he produced 4 of the finest symphonies ever written.
His symphonies included one of if not the finest violin concerti to ever be written with his Requiem in German. Out of his 2 piano concertos, he wrote his second was perhaps the most ambitious of any to be produced.
Not technically but in the fact that the piano had to be the instrument that stood out over the entire orchestra and required a master to play it.
These two composers each had their own unique style to their music which was clearly portrayed in their brilliant compositions and operas. Their music will live on through the ages to be enjoyed for generations to come.
